Plug it in.
It does the rest.

Miles Plug is small, quiet, and does the work for you. Set it up in the Miles app, push it into the port your car already has, and it runs on its own from there. No wires, no new screen, nothing new to learn.

Out of sight

It tucks into the port under your dash and disappears. No wires, no clutter, no beeps. Half an inch is all you'd see, and only if you went looking.

Connected without your phone

Built-in GPS and cellular keep Miles online on its own, so your car stays covered even when a phone is dead or left behind.

Feels every drive

Onboard sensors capture how each drive went, so recaps and insights come from the road, not guesswork.

Reads your car

It pulls straight from the port your car already has and turns engine, battery, and fuel into plain English, before small problems get big.

Common questions

Does the Miles Plug record audio?

No. It has no microphone. What happens in your car stays in your car, karaoke included.

Can Miles start, stop, or unlock my car?

No. Miles reads your car; it doesn't control it. It can't start it, kill the engine, or unlock the doors, and nobody else can through Miles either.

Does Miles work in hybrids and EVs?

Hybrids, yes. EVs, not yet — even where the port is present, an electric drivetrain reports differently, and supporting it properly is work we still have to do. The compatibility checker shows whether your selected vehicle is supported today.

Can I move it between cars?

Yes. Got a new car? Plug Miles in and remove the old car from your account. You can also move it between family cars; just know Miles covers the car it's plugged into, so the other car is on its own until it gets a Plug of its own.

Will it drain my battery?

A healthy car battery is built to sit two to four weeks without a drive. Parked, Miles Plug drops into a low-power state and wakes only briefly to check in, so the power it uses does not notably affect the battery.

Miles also keeps an eye on battery health, so it is often the first thing to warn you when a battery is getting weak. Storing the car for more than a couple of weeks? Unplug Miles. It picks up right where it left off.

Why does Miles have a membership?

Miles Plug has its own GPS and cellular connection, like a phone. The membership keeps your car online everywhere it goes, keeps every trip and alert flowing, and keeps the roadside and emergency response center staffed around the clock.

Plans start at $11/mo, paid up front for the term. Nothing renews on its own.

What if my car isn't listed?

Use the checker to see whether Miles supports your exact make, model and year. The list includes vehicles from 1996 onward, including vehicles we do not support yet.

What if I change my mind?

You have 60 days from purchase. Send the Plug back and we'll refund the device and the membership, minus a $10 flat return fee that covers return shipping and restocking — waived if the device arrived defective. Using Crash Response or Roadside Assistance during the window ends the money-back guarantee for the membership. See Shipping, Returns & Refunds for the details.

How fast does it ship?

Free standard shipping within the US. Orders leave our warehouse within two business days.

Is my family's data private?

Your family's privacy comes first. Your data is encrypted, and we never sell your vehicle, trip or location information. You stay in control of what you share.

We make money from memberships, not from ads and not from your data. You're the customer, not the product.
