The founders

Miles was founded by Matt McGovren (CEO) and Kit Klein (CTO), who have spent 20 years building connected products trusted by millions of families — and building them together, across multiple companies.

At Amazon’s Ring, Matt was the first business-development hire, forging first-of-kind partnerships across industries, from automotive and insurance to telecom and home building, and later ran the small-business product line.

Kit led hardware development at Amazon for Blink and Ring Alarm, served as VP of Engineering at the smart home platform Wink, and helped build smart home portfolios at Ubiquiti and Ingersoll Rand, shipping tens of millions of connected devices.

The two met at Ingersoll Rand two decades ago and have built connected products together ever since. Miles brings that experience to the road, making vehicle safety and technology more accessible and helping families stay informed and supported in the cars they already drive.
